Dr. Catherine Stahler is a PA licensed psychologist, certified school psychologist, and EMRDIA Trained EMDR Therapist. She is a graduate from Duquesne University, where she earned her M.S.Ed. in Child Psychology and Psy.D. in School Psychology. Dr. Stahler has experience working with preschoolers, children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges. Current services provided include behavioral consultation, parent training, and therapy. Dr. Stahler also completes evaluations, including initial testing and diagnostics, psychoeducational, and independent education evaluations. In addition to evaluations, she is available to consult about various concerns or other testing results.
With a wide range of experience with children and their families, Dr. Stahler is particularly skilled at working with individuals presenting with challenging behaviors and dysregulated emotions. Her areas of expertise include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders; however, she treats individuals with all kinds of diagnostic presentations. As a therapist, Dr. Stahler is an EMDRIA-trained therapist. She additionally utilizes an integrated approach within the therapeutic relationship, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, behavioral techniques, and family-focused work. She has a particular interest in utilizing EMDR with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and working with parents of children with behavioral challenges.
